You are warmly invited to a screening of Arcanium (2023) – An Intergenerational and Community Screendance Project.
The origin of arcane is Latin arcanis. "secret, closed,"
Arcana (singular arcanum) are pieces of mysterious knowledge or information
This will be followed by a Creative Talk introducing somatic movement arts and a discussion of these applied somatic movement approaches to support well-being and ‘being in movement’ throughout our lives. An informal Q&A session will follow to invite questions and creative dialogue.
Ruth Way is an Associate Professor in Theatre and Performance at the University of Plymouth. Ruth is a trained and certified somatic movement educator and teacher from Eastwest Somatics Institute (USA) and registered with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA).
