In these disconnected times, how can we re-examine the meaning of gathering and collectivity through art?
ACID Action takes past performance projects to inform and reflect on the current perception of live art among Taiwanese young artists, sharing a paradigmatic parallel and engage in reflexive thinking toward the future.
Through vivid depictions of the developing process of performance, body archiving and other media, the notion of collectivity is constantly deconstructed, reshaped, and challenged. This documentary attempts to outline the narrative that the collective is the embodiment of caring, the channel for marginalised voices and a method of hearing.
This event will be hosted by Howl Yuan, artistic director of Kakilang. The film screening will be followed by a Zoom conversation and Q&A with a member of the Acid House performance collective in Taipei.
