Freshers' Week
Our city-centre campus is the focal point for student life at the University of Plymouth. It's the location for many lectures and classes; where you'll find study spaces and the library; where you will meet friends for coffee or lunch; where you'll discover the Students' Union as well as our sports facilities.
Whilst we have other locations across the city – including specialist dental, medical, health and marine facilities – our city campus remains the bustling hub of University life in Plymouth.

Find your way around

Being quite compact, the campus is easy to navigate and finding your way between lectures, the library and your favourite lunch spot will soon become second nature.
Our campus maps will help you to find your way around.
Additional teaching spaces and specialist facilities such as Cookworthy , the Emdeck , InterCity Place: facilities for health professions, nursing and midwifery , Centre for Eyecare Excellence (CEE) and the Marine Station are located within walking distance.

Keeping active

Whatever your activity goals there are a number of ways to stay active mentally and physically on campus. With the sports centre located in the heart of campus, it’s quite easy to fit in a work out session or fitness class around your timetable.
The sports centre offers a 50 station gym, squash courts, multi-purpose sports hall, dance studio and sports injuries clinic. Opportunities to swim and climb are also available at Plymouth Life Centre, situated a 15-20 minute walk from campus.
There are also many opportunities to get involved with the myriad sports clubs and societies offered through the Students' Union, although many of these take place off campus.
