Organised by Maritime UK South West, the fourth Clean Maritime Expo will showcase the progress being made towards maritime decarbonisation across the UK with a focus on the South West and South Coast.
The event will be an opportunity to do business, learn, collaborate and network for those working towards or with an interest in maritime decarbonisation. The event will have two streams running all day ensuring that you get the information and meet the contacts you need.
The Clean Maritime Expo will provide:
• big picture progress from UK government and from speakers with an international perspective
• the latest technology and market innovations on vessel propulsion, fuels and infrastructure
• a showcase of decarb investment activity and future ambitions from South West ports
• the latest high TRL research from UK universities
• practical sessions on business and investment support
• insight on how skills are being planned to enable decarbonisation
• the opportunity to pitch your business and exhibit.
Sarah Fear , Project and Knowledge Exchange Manager at the University of Plymouth will be in attendance to discuss the Electric Seaway project.

The Electric Seaway: Providing a charging infrastructure network for the UK's south coast

The south coast of the UK has responded to the shift in maritime expectations over the past few years, with many new businesses and technology developments for clean and green vessels.
The Electric Seaway (TES) project, with its potential to serve as a model for future networks, aims to establish a network of charging infrastructure along the south coast. This unique network will feature ten locations equipped with charging installations, including two sites with integrated battery energy storage solutions to address grid capacity challenges. Introducing a standardised approach to e-charging using current and planned fully marinised charging technology will overcome the significant barrier of limited grid capacity and advanced infrastructure provision.
