This session will walk you through the process of how to structure that all-important CV and how to target it towards the role you are applying for. We will also provide guidance on writing a cover letter and supporting statement so you can find out what to include and how to get yourself noticed.

Drop into the Student Hub and we can look at your LinkedIn profile and give you tips to individually improve your profile so it gets seen by employers. Also, speak to student digital champions who can advise you on the best courses you can take on LinkedIn Learning.
15:00-17:00 – Students Union
All students and professionals involved in the University mentoring programmes this year will be invited to take part in a short celebration of their achievements and have the chance to take pictures with each other.

Peer Assisted Learning Scheme (PALS) Leaders, plan and deliver regular group study sessions for students in the year below on the same course.
Student Ambassadors
Our Student Ambassadors work as part of a highly motivated professional team, supporting a variety of departments across the University.
Writing Mentors
Writing mentors support students with the mechanics of academic writing, such as critical analysis, structure and flow. Writing Mentors are recruited from subjects across the University, which brings a range of perspectives and approaches to the team.
Unibuddies
Our Unibuddies are responsible for answering questions from prospective students about studying, life at university and your experiences using the Unibuddy platform.
Digital Champions
Digital Education recruit a group of Student Digital Champions each year and their role is to support and enhance digital learning across the institution.
The HELLO Project
The HELLO Project matches new international students at the University of Plymouth with home student buddies at the start of the academic year.
Global Buddies
Global Buddies is a group for international students that provides a chance to meet other international students and make social connections.

Our student ambassadors encourage potential students from non-traditional backgrounds to engage in medicine, dentistry and biomedical science.
