This two-day course will guide you through carbon footprinting standards, show you how to use global emissions databases and help you measure and understand your carbon impacts. You’ll identify hotspots and create a roadmap for effective carbon reduction actions.
Not only will you develop the skills required to calculate your business's carbon footprint, you’ll also gain the knowledge required to plan your next steps and share your carbon commitments with your stakeholders.
Who is this course for?
Carbon Footprinting: Measuring your Organisation’s Impact and Planning for Positive Change is a fully funded course for organisations based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly through the Future is Green short courses project.
You may be considering calculating your company’s carbon footprint so you can start taking evidence-based climate action, you may have made a start and found yourself stuck, or you may already have a baseline carbon footprint but you’re not sure how it was calculated or how to calculate an updated iteration.
This course is ideal for anyone interested in calculating their business’s carbon footprint, whether you are a sole trader, a small-to-medium-sized enterprise, a charity or a public sector organisation, and is particularly relevant for businesses in (or supplying to) high-impact sectors (energy, industry, built environment, transport, natural resources, decarbonisation and climate adaption).
