Net Zero and Climate Change: Getting Started as Individuals and Enterprises

This three-hour online workshop is about sustainable practices, climate change mitigation and the global push towards achieving net-zero emissions.
Beginning with an overview of greenhouse gas emissions and their impact, we'll delve into strategies for achieving net-zero carbon emissions, considering sectors like energy, transport, buildings and agriculture, where most emissions come from.
Through case studies, interactive activities and quizzes, learners will gain insights into how to reduce their carbon footprint, introducing the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
The workshop also introduces the carbon handprint concept, a positive forward-looking action that can be taken. By the end of the workshop, you will understand the importance of transitioning to a net-zero economy and the role both individuals and organisations play in driving this transformation for a sustainable future.

Carbon Footprinting: Measuring your Organisation's Impact and Planning for Positive Change

This course consists of a two-day in-person workshop, where you will not only develop the skills required to calculate your business' carbon footprint, but also the knowledge required to plan your next steps and share your carbon commitments with your customers.
Working in small groups with like-minded businesses, you will learn about the drivers for creating an organisational footprint, discover the data you'll need and where to find it, gain awareness of standards for calculating emissions and access global emissions databases to calculate your carbon. We will also explore the jargon around net zero and your next steps.
