This 20 credit masters-level module will draw on the fields of neuropsychology, neuroscience and rehabilitation to explore cognitive and perceptual domains such as memory, executive function, attention and language.
Our inter-disciplinary teaching team will highlight the functional and psychosocial impact of dysfunction to these domains and provide you with a critical review of current clinical interventions.
This module enables you understand the basis of different cognitive and perceptual domains and understand the cause of common cognitive and perceptual disorders following central nervous system dysfunction and appraise how these may impact on psychosocial function.
It will also allow you to critically evaluate the evidence base for current assessment and treatment and explore the holistic management of people with cognitive and perceptual deficits.
