This 20 credit masters-level module will provide a framework for thinking about promoting and protecting public health at individual, community, national and international levels by exploring historical and theoretical perspectives.
You will have the opportunity to think critically about the nature, purposes and practice of public health and develop a critical appreciation of the determinants of health and wellbeing.
You will also critically examine the potential for individual, organisational and community-based approaches to promoting public health as well as the role of policy and power in promoting health.
