About Tamer

Dr Tamer Kamel is a lecturer in Power Electronics and Renewable Energy at the School of Engineering, Computing, and Mathematics at the University of Plymouth. He has received his Ph.D. degree in electrical power engineering from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada, in 2015. He is currently leading number of projects in renewable energies integration, electrified transport and maritime decarbonization. He is a member in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE),  associate member in institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (AMIMarEST) and fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
