Ms Sarah Warrington

Lecturer in Occupational Therapy

I am a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the University of Plymouth with a clinical background across community roles, admission avoidance within acute emergency departments and rehabilitation across a variety of specialities include stroke and RA. My experience is all within the NHS across a number of areas of the UK. Since 2021, I moved into clinical education as preceptorship Lead for an ICO within the South West of England.
My previous employment history was mainly in child protection for the local council before my career change into occupational therapy in 2017.
My own personal interests led me to my current MSc studies and current dissertation titled: "Occupational Engagement in Open Water Swimming: Understanding the Self Reported Motivations and Therapeutic Implications.
