I am the Senior Technician for Composites Engineering at the University of Plymouth. I am also Faculty Advisor for University of Plymouth Racing and joint lead for SECaM's Manufacturing Working Group.

I trained as a sculptor at art school and then had a successful career teaching Art, Design & Technology and Engineering. I took on additional responsibilities during this time, including Faculty Leader, Assistant Headteacher and Head of Department. I bring my background in teaching with me to ensure that I offer a fantastic student experience in the lab, as well as the highest standards of professionalism when working with academics, researchers and those from industry.

My interest in composite materials developed as a result of working on various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) projects in schools, as well as designing and making parts for motorsport applications.
