Project Title: Improving the sustainability of aquafeeds with Mannan oligosaccharide derived from coconut byproduct.

Director of Studies: Dr Daniel Merrifield

2nd Supervisor: Dr victor Kuri

My PhD research explores the potential benefits of incorporating the novel prebiotic Mannan Oligosaccharides (MOS) into aquaculture diets, focusing on growth enhancement, improved feed utilization, and bolstered health and immune status—key factors for sustainable and productive aquaculture practices. The MOS, derived from coconut byproducts (GreenSage Prebiotics), and is being investigated in multiple important aquaculture species.
