I am currently responsible for leading, managing and developing the Counselling Team which is part of Student Wellbeing Services.I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and qualified supervisor with over 20 years experience in the sector.
I have previously enjoyed tutoring on Counselling Diploma training courses.

I am an accredited, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Member of BACP Universities and College (BACP UC) division.

Roles on external bodies

I was a member of the BACP Universities & Colleges Division, Executive committee for several years. During that time I was also an Expert Reference group member during the development of BACP's Competencies Framework for counsellors working in HE and FE.
I am currently a member of HUC (Head of University Counselling Services)

Additional information

I have a passion for equine assisted therapy and am an EAGALA certified practitioner. I was a Director of a Community Interest Company delivering Equine Assisted Growth & Learning and Therapy for over 7 years. This is an area I wish to return to in future years.
