About David

Dave is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, with 30 years oil and gas. Commencing with offshore oil rig module construction in the 90's. 20 years international with Occidental including 15 years in Qatar & Bahrain and 5 years USA, Ca. Project engineering and project management. Onshore and offshore. Projects have included compressor station design & build, new pipelines and design of platforms.

The focus of his research is Green hydrogen and offshore renewable energy (ORE) integration, how can hydrogen support support the roll-out of ORE. What are the uses for hydrogen? Aviation, marine, heavy transport, industry feed-stock and heat. Can hydrogen be used as an energy store? Should hydrogen be manufactured onshore or offshore?
