About Bhuvan

Greetings! I am Bhuvan Poladiya, a passionate Renewable Energy Engineer embarking on a fully funded Ph.D. journey, specialising in flexible wave energy converters with direct energy conversion. My academic and professional journey reflects a deep-seated commitment to advancing sustainable solutions and contributing to the renewable energy sector.

My academic journey began with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, followed by a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University. Notably, my projects included innovative solutions like an industrial-grade crusher unit for tube lights. I then pursued an MSc in Renewable Energy at Cranfield University, UK, immersing myself in modules ranging from Offshore technologies to Solar Energy Engineering. During this time, I engaged in a Department for Transport-funded project on a wave-devouring propulsion system.
With a strong academic foundation, practical experience and a commitment to sustainability, I am poised to contribute meaningfully to the development of flexible wave energy converters during my Ph.D. journey. My diverse skills and experiences make me a valuable asset to the research community and the broader field of renewable energy.
Beyond academia and industry, I actively contribute to extracurricular initiatives. I was serving as the President of the Yoga Club at Cranfield University and ensured the preservation of yoga traditions. In Mumbai, I collaborated with Saarthi Foundation, advocating for education rights and environmental awareness. And I am currently volunteering as a First Responder in Plymouth Night Patrol society which is a lifesaving team dedicated to emergency response and safeguarding in the night-time economy.
