About Alice

**On Maternity Leave until November 2025**

I am a GP Registrar & NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow (GPST4 ACF). I completed my medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Bristol and did an integrated degree (BSc) in Global Health during my time at Bristol.

I completed my Foundation Doctor training within Wessex Deanery at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and undertook a Public Health Community Fellowship during my FY2 year.

After my FY1 & FY2 years I spent a year at Southmead Hospital in Bristol as Clinical Fellow in Medicine. During this year I spent 20% of my working time as Junior Doctor Wellbeing Fellow and gaining research experience as part of the University of Bristol PRIME PD research team.

I started my GP training in August 2021 in Bath and took an Out Of Programme Experience (OOPE) year between ST2 and ST3 as a Clinical Teaching Fellow for the University of Bristol. During this year 20% of my time was spent working clinically within the Rheumatology and Palliative Care teams at the Royal United Hospital Bath. I also conduced some qualitative research which looked at the experience of medical students undertaking placements within General Practice.

I transferred to Torbay patch in Devon for GPST3 in August 2023 and at this point also switched from standard to academic GP training. I am based in Plymouth for my academic work and work closely with the Hepatology Research Group and Community and Primary Care Research Groups. I am conducting qualitative research looking at the acceptability, benefits and risks of the use of community-based Transient Elastography which is being conducted in the back of vans within the Plymouth area.
