This group tackles a wide range of problems, from marine pollution through appearance psychology to child pornography and medical alarms. We are also interested in processes underpinning human motivation, in individual differences in everyday life, and in action research to create health and social improvements. Other areas include the study of child and young people bereavement, neuropsychology, human computer interactions, the processes of inclusion and exclusion in education and society, and the psychological mechanisms of conventional and complementary treatments.
