Physical activity (PA) is an essential part of healthy ageing.
To develop physical activity interventions supporting healthy ageing through personalised lifestyle modifications (i.e., tailored to personal and living circumstances) and policy changes (e.g. developing age-friendly environments), we first need to understand how social and environmental contexts influence PA in older age.
The ActivDyad study is funded by the ART (Ageing Research Translation) of Healthy Ageing Network.
It is a collaboration between Newcastle University (Ríona Mc Ardle - PI), University of Plymouth (
Dr Nicolas Farina
), Brighton and Sussex Medical School, Norwegian National Centre for Ageing and Health, Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, and University of Sheffield.
