John Bull Building

Home to medical and dentistry facilities on our North Campus

The John Bull Building is home to a number of research laboratories, clinical skills resources, seminar and meeting rooms, and a wellbeing room.

Located four miles north of our main campus , our facilities are a short distance from Derriford Hospital. The building is also home to the John Bull Cafe offering a diverse selection of menu options to staff and students.

Derriford Research Facility

Located adjacent to John Bull, this facility allows greater collaboration between medical, dental and biomedical researchers at the University and University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Clinical Skills Resource Centre

Resources and training to help medical students develop vital clinical and communication skills in a safe, supported environment before experiencing the pressure of a real clinical setting.

Dental Education Facility

A progressive clinical space for dentistry students to learn clinical duties, supervised by highly experienced dental practitioners and academic staff to help you get the most out of your learning.

The John Bull Cafe is located within the John Bull Building, on the Derriford campus at Plymouth Science Park (north Plymouth).

There is limited visitor parking available on the Plymouth Science Park site. Please ensure you discuss parking arrangements prior to your visit. The site is permit parking only and penalty charges will be incurred if no parking arrangements have been made in advance.
