"I chose Plymouth University because they offered a degree suitable for me, with a buzzing campus in close proximity to housing and the main city centre. The lecturers are friendly and helpful, with a great sense of humour and knowledge of their respective fields.

The breadth of the degree meant that I was able to cement the fundamentals of mathematics and statistics while steadily being introduced to new concepts and techniques. My interests in Operational Research and the SIMUL8 software package began here and have since only grown from strength to strength.

I currently work for the Babcock International Group as part of a team working to improve the efficiency of military training and delivery. My role is to develop simulation models that help the rest of the team to experiment, plan and justify their decisions. I'm often challenged to find new ways to incorporate complex processes and relish those moments where the screen shows a smooth, beautifully running model!

I would recommend Plymouth University to any mathematic-savvy individual looking to expand upon their skills and discover all the opportunities available to them."
