Explore different cultures
In Year 1, we offer our students the chance to take part in a residential field trip to Europe. Our students have visited Paris, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Bratislava to name but a few. These week-long funded trips allow you to experience a different culture, visit museums, galleries, festivals and exhibition, and get to know your lectures and course-mates even better.
In Year 2, you may have the chance to take part in an Erasmus exchange. We've links with institutions throughout Europe and even further afield.

Showcase your work
Each year, as a final year architecture, art and design student, you get to exhibit your work at our Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Show.
It's a chance for you to showcase your work to the university, to industry members, to the art community and the public.

Get involved in the set construction project
In Year 2, you can participate in an exciting project to construct a set. You'll have the chance to work with a group of your fellow students over three weeks to envision, plan, resource, build, style and photograph your own set.
As well as a great experience, you'll also develop some key transferable skills including negotiation and delegation; entrepreneurship; concept visualisation; construction and modelling; sourcing props and materials; styling; lighting; photographic translation; editing and printing.
