A team of undergraduate history students from the University have just completed the first phase of a major research project at Powderham Castle, ancestral home to the Earls of Devon.
Three final year students (Alistair Stone, Lee-Jane Giles and Toni Wadman) spent three weeks working alongside students from the University of Pennsylvania. They have made some amazing finds in the archives and helped to organise a series of successful talks and lectures in the castle.
Charlie Courtenay, Earl of Devon said it was wonderful to have undergraduate students working alongside academics at Powderham.
