Net zero, carbon footprint, greenhouse gases, scope 3 emissions.
Gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate these concepts and find out how you can take positive climate action in a three-hour online workshop offered by the University of Plymouth. Net Zero and Climate Change: Getting Started as Individuals and Enterprises guides you through why our climate is changing, what that means for us and our planet, and how we can combat it as individuals and enterprises.
No prior knowledge is required, so whether you are a student, professional, policymaker, or simply someone who wants to find out more about why we need to reach net zero carbon emissions, you can register for free.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Beginning with an overview of greenhouse gas emissions and their impact, we'll delve into strategies for achieving net zero carbon emissions, considering sectors like energy, transport, buildings and agriculture, where most emissions come from.
Through case studies, interactive activities and quizzes, learners will gain insights into how to reduce their carbon footprint, introducing the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
The workshop also introduces the carbon handprint concept, a positive forward-looking action that can be taken. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand the importance of transitioning to a net zero economy and the role both individuals and organisations play in driving this transformation for a sustainable future.

Please visit the Net Zero Exchange web page for more information on the workshop.
