The Languages Café promotes communication across languages and cultures.
It provides an opportunity for home students, international students, University staff and the public to make contact and network. It fosters cross-cultural friendships. In short, it brings people together!
Originally set up by languages staff in the Plymouth Business School, the Languages Café is a relaxed meeting place with speakers of various levels on each table to help guide conversations in French, Spanish, Italian, English and other languages.
Open to students and the public, the Languages Café is a great way to:
• practise target languages
• learn about different cultures
• build close-knit friendships
• have fun.
All levels of language ability are welcome, and there is free coffee, tea and biscuits available.
The Languages Café takes place every Wednesday during term time between 13:00–14:00 in the foyer area of the Robbins Building , Gibbon Street, Plymouth, PL4 8BZ.
