Save event
You don’t have to pay a premium to be kind to the planet; in fact, it can actually save you money.
For students, staff and the local community, this new event is brought to you by the Procurement team at the University of Plymouth to mark World Sustainable Procurement Day (Thursday 21 March).
The aim of the event on Tuesday 19 March is to create conversation around the need to be responsible with our pound, to ourselves and the planet. Welcoming organisations from within the University and around the wider city, the event covers themes of:
• Food waste
• Fast fashion
• Upcycling
• Food miles
• Modern slavery and people trafficking
• Support for local business and organisations
• Community.
We are showcasing some of the brilliant internal teams and external organisations, who work tirelessly towards promoting sustainability – showing that with a little imagination and drive, these local networks can help you make more sustainable choices.
Ultimately it’s all about ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ – and helping you to save money at the same time!
