The Marine Institute , in collaboration with academic staff, the FoSE Project Office and Research and Innovation , is organising an event themed around 'Opportunities with Marine Businesses' for University of Plymouth staff working in areas relevant to marine and maritime.
The event aims to outline the benefits that can be gained from engaging with commercial organisations, including to increase research activity and impact, access non-traditional funding sources, gain new facilities, drive economic development, and to enhance the student experience. You'll hear about success stories from different areas of research, both big and small, including from academics who have already forged successful industry collaborations. For those who have not previously worked with commercial projects, there will be an opportunity to learn more about the practical aspects and the support available to achieve success.
FREE lunch will be provided to all attendees of this event. If possible, please arrive slightly ahead of time and bring your selection to your seat in time for the start.
Please note: This is an internal event that is only open to University of Plymouth staff working in areas relevant to marine and maritime. Please book your place by Wednesday 4 December if you wish to attend.
