World Town Planning Day

Held annually on 8 November, World Town Planning Day was founded in Argentina in 1949 by Professor Carlos della Paolera.
The day brings together planners and communities from across the world to celebrate how good planning improves the lives of people and benefits society at large.
This year marks the 75th anniversary and is an important milestone for the profession. With a theme of 'Homes Start with Planning', WTPD 2024 will focus on the role of planning and planners in delivering housing that meets the needs of our communities, and in helping to create equitable, inclusive and sustainable solutions for all.
