September events, promotions and offers on campus

Here’s what’s coming up this month.

Zero Waste Week Monday 7–Friday 11 September

We’re celebrating Zero Waste Week by highlighting some of the ways we’re working to reduce food, packaging and plastic waste across campus.
  • Bring your own reusable cup and save 20p on your coffee. It’s a simple way to reduce single-use packaging every time you grab a coffee.
  • Help us reduce waste by separating food waste, recycling and general waste into the correct bins.
  • Did you know that our food waste is sent to an anaerobic digester, where it is processed to generate electricity?
  • We’re working to minimise plastic waste across campus by using plant-based takeaway packaging and offering drinks in cans and glass bottles.
  • Milk from a pergal is available in six of our cafes. Each pergal helps save around 14 plastic milk bottles from being used. You can also purchase a reusable glass milk bottle and fresh milk to enjoy at home or in the office.

National Beer Lovers Day – Monday 7 September

Celebrate National Beer Lovers Day with some of our tasty Jail Ale-inspired treats.
Look out for:
  • Jail Ale chutney and cheddar sandwich from Loafers Deli
  • Mini Jail Ale and chutney quiches at The Container
Perfect for anyone who enjoys a little local flavour with their lunch!

National Guacamole Day – Wednesday 16 September

Celebrate National Guacamole Day with two delicious sandwiches from Loafers Deli.
  • Tex Mex Sandwich – refried beans, guacamole and salsa | £3.25
  • Guacamole, Chicken & Bacon Sandwich | £4.25
Which one will you choose?
