Professional development study days
The University of Plymouth offers a number of study days for health and social care professionals covering a wide range of subjects across the academic year. Our study days are developed to enhance patient and carer experience, to improve your evidence base to support healthcare delivery, and to support your leadership, service improvement, innovation and development skills.
Our portfolio of professional development provision is constantly expanding based on your requests. If you or your organisation would like to talk to us about your professional development needs please do not hesitate to contact us at PDUStudyDays@plymouth.ac.uk.
Study days within community and primary care
The University of Plymouth is a long-standing provider of study days for healthcare assistants and registered nurses in the South West.
Participation in our professional development study days can lead to:
- ensuring that your skills and knowledge are based on the latest evidence
- utilising the most appropriate techniques
- improvements to the provision of care within your practice.
By specialising in certain areas following a more in-depth course, many nurses and healthcare assistants are then able, with confidence, to manage that particular area of care.
Many of these study days are taught in Exeter or Plymouth but we are able to teach at a variety of locations across the UK where there is demand and would be happy to consider any such request. Please contact us at PDUStudyDays@plymouth.ac.uk to discuss your requirements.
