Thinking about your options
During Sixth Form, I was unsure of what degree subject I wanted to pursue or what universities I should to apply to. With the stress of A levels, I never ended up applying anywhere. I was able to use the summer to think about my options.

Exploring campus on open day
I attended a Clearing open day which was a great way for me to find out more about the University. I was able to speak to current students about student life and their degrees whilst touring the campus. I also had the opportunity to speak to lecturers and learn about the modules they teach.
The open day definitely helped me decide to study law at Plymouth.
Why Plymouth?
The University of Plymouth has a great campus and is in a beautiful location – with beaches, Dartmoor and the Barbican nearby. Plymouth also offers a fantastic law degree providing loads of support and offering me opportunities to connect with professionals.
With Plymouth it was a no-brainer, I knew it was where I belonged.
Living in the heart of Plymouth
Finding a place to live was easy, many accommodation providers still had rooms open in late August. I was able to find a room in a great location with a 10 minute walk from campus and loads of shops, restaurants and bars nearby.
Good things ahead
Thus far I have absolutely loved my time at university. I have been given many opportunities like becoming a
Student Ambassador
. I have felt supported in all my first year modules and enjoyed taking part in the Law Society and attending their events.
Plymouth was definitely the right choice for me and I’m so glad I applied through clearing.
