The PEP provides each placement area a profile area. The placement area has ownership of this information and the ability to update the information. Much of the information held on the PEPs is viewable to students who have been allocated to the placement area, via their POW, so students will be more aware of the experiences they will encounter whilst in this specific environment.
You are able to view how many students you have been allocated together with the student’s discipline and year group. Reporting functionality enables you to analyse student feedback.
It is an NMC requirement for Trusts to maintain a ‘live’ data base of mentors and there is functionality within the PEP to create and maintain mentors within the host which a number of Trusts utilise.
