Are you an academic already working with a business to develop a new low carbon technology or service?
Or a business looking to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Green Industrial Revolution and a low carbon future, to grow and diversify?
Join the Low Carbon Devon team, Mark Howard, Project Manager, Regen and Dave Marshall, Innovation Funding Manager, University of Plymouth, at our online information event to find out how your business can access funding of up to £7,500 through the Devon Net Zero Innovation Fund.
The Devon Net Zero Innovation fund enables collaborations between Devon enterprises and University of Plymouth academic researchers. The aim is to help Devon enterprises to develop new products or services for the low carbon sector, with funding of up to £7,500 per enterprise.
For example, following the release of the government’s ten point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution there are a wealth of tangible market opportunities for companies looking to diversify into renewables. We welcome Mark Howard, Project Manager at Regen, who will be sharing market insights and the exciting opportunities that renewable energy offers to businesses in Devon.
We are also pleased to welcome Dave Marshall, Innovation Funding Manager, University of Plymouth who will introduce Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, a further collaboration opportunity connecting businesses with academic expertise, that could be used to develop low carbon products or services initiated through the Devon Net Zero Innovation Fund.
Tristan Williams, Technical Director of Finsen Tech has been working on an academic collaboration with the University of Plymouth’s Dr Tina Joshi, Lecturer in Molecular Microbiology and says;
the ‘academic partnership enabled us to access technologies and research we never thought possible’ and this ‘mutually beneficial relationship’ has allowed them as a company to ‘collaborate locally and act globally’.
Register now for ‘Take Action: Devon Net Zero Innovation Fund’ on 22 September, 16.00 – 17.00, where the Low Carbon Devon team will answer your questions and talk you through the initial application process.
