How can we use business as a force for good to tackle the climate challenge?

Climate change, ecological and biodiversity breakdown, racial injustices, social and gender inequalities; we are facing uncertain times, but there is hope and a growing movement of local and global businesses leading the way – Certified B Corporations, or B Corps.

Join guest speakers and panellists to explore what the B Corp movement is, how you can become a certified B Corp, what this involves and how you can support progressive businesses taking positive action.

Would you like to use business as a force for good?

Are you interested in becoming a B Corp and gaining recognition for the highest standards in social and environmental performance?

The event is perfect for anyone wanting to find out more and why joining B Corp is a step in the right direction.

Guest speakers and panellists include:

  • Thomas Bourne, Founder, Greenheart Consulting, a full-service social and environmental impact consultancy dedicated to helping companies integrate regenerative thinking throughout their business model.
  • Ed Bird, CEO and Co-founder of Bird Eyewear, the first carbon neutral UK eyewear company to become a certified B Corp, committed to becoming a carbon negative company by 2025.
  • Catherine Draper, Engagement Manager, B Lab UK, a non-profit organisation that serves as a global movement of people using business as a force for good.

Inspire Ambition: Purposeful Business is part of the System Shift – Low Carbon Devon event series which facilitates proactive conversation with curious and courageous doers, creative thinkers and leaders at the forefront of change. These events aim to explore what a zero carbon future might look like, the bold and systemic change required and how we can imagine a world where people and planet flourish.

Open to all – business and enterprise leaders and staff, members of the public, researchers, community groups, students and those who are curious and looking for a dose inspiration to help tackle the climate challenge.
