Working together on shared sustainability goals

The Sustainable Earth Institute connects the University’s sustainability research expertise with the wider world, facilitating collaborations that benefit the environment and society. Engaging with us may include:

Our aim is to enable external partners to access the University's cutting-edge research, skills and facilities, while ensuring our academics and students have opportunities to keep in touch with the latest industry practices and societal needs.
Whether you are an individual, SME, public or private organisation, fellow research centre, NFP or community group, we are always keen to discuss opportunities to work together on shared sustainability goals.
 

Funding opportunities

Small Collaborative Awards 2025

This call is for funding small interdisciplinary research projects. The aim is to provide seed funding for interdisciplinary projects in order to unlock and increase further larger scale funding bids.
Deadline for applications: 17:00, 22 November 2024
Timescale:
  • Project must be completed by end of June 2025
  • Larger funding bid must be submitted by June 2026
  • Budget: up to £3,000 per collaboration/project
  • Application: please email sei@plymouth.ac.uk with your completed application.
