E-cargo bikes, a game-changer in first/last-mile logistics, often go unnoticed.
This oversight hinders the transition to eco-friendly city logistics. Awareness of their benefits remains limited due to the scarcity of accessible information and support. Yet, cities have a unique chance to promote low-carbon alternatives. Our event aimed to bridge this gap by raising awareness and offering hands-on e-cargo bike experiences.
Attendees were able to explore the world of e-cargo bikes and take them for a spin. Through open surveys, we aimed to pinpoint the needs they fulfil and their potential in Plymouth's sustainable first/last-mile logistics. Open to all, attendees joined us to unlock the potential of e-cargo bikes in transforming city transportation.
This drop-in event was aimed at:
- people who were thinking of buying a cargo bike and wanted to know more
- businesses who wanted to use cargo bikes
- local community members who were interested in sustainable city logistics
- members of the public who wanted to try out a cargo bike.
