Dr Victoria Hurth is an expert in sustainable marketing and reported on her work for Friends of the Earth on 'Reforming Marketing for Sustainability', which is part of their Big Ideas research programme.
This open session (part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science) outlined the key proposals, incorporated audience discussion and debate and helped pinpoint what we can all do to support marketers in this making the shift to sustainability.

Victoria is a Lecturer and Programme Manager in the Marketing group in Plymouth Business School and a researcher in the University's Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy. Victoria has a professional background as a management and marketing consultant – with a central focus for the past decade on delivering sustainability.

Her research is focused on the drivers of sustainable behaviour and the role of marketing in achieving positive social change and she is a regular guest lecturer on Sustainable Marketing.
Victoria has a range of engagements embedding her research in practice – she is currently on the board of the UK Chartered Management Institute and the Fleming Policy Centre, she sits at a committee level for the British Standards Institution and is a UK lead Expert on Sustainable City Indicators for the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
