Save event
Ever wondered how you can get involved in Plymouth and the wider city’s vibrant arts scene?
Local arts groups showcased their wares, while talks by mental health experts took place throughout the day.
This market-hall style event discussed the therapeutic power of the arts (e.g. writing, painting, film-making and performance, among other arts) and sought to highlight the value of arts practice and appreciation, and how local communities and ‘social prescription’ (as supported by the NHS) can support wellbeing and mental health.
The event brought people together to discuss and to learn how the arts might inform the wider health system, sharing best practice from these organisations and raising awareness/promote social prescription of arts as offered by Wolseley Trust (and others) in Plymouth.
