An Instrumented Benthic Frame (IBF) will be deployed seawards of the surf zone and equipped with an array of acoustic sensors to measure waves, turbulence, suspended sediments, bedforms and bedload. The IBF will be deployed offshore from a number of beaches in the shadow of Wave Hub and provide data required to calibrate offshore boundary conditions for numerical models.
