Cathy Coelho, Clinical Lecturer at Plymouth University Peninsula School of Dentistry, has been made a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy is awarded to educators in the higher education sector who have a proven, sustained track record in higher education teaching and management and who are seeking to progress into a leadership position.
Said Cathy:
“I feel I have come a long way since I started here when the Peninsula Dental School opened in 2007, and in my current job as a year lead for the past three years. It’s great to have external recognition for the work I do underpinning the enquiry-based learning methods used in the school and my input into the remediation support process introduced in the school for academically struggling students. I am grateful to the school for its support and backing.”
Professor Christopher Tredwin, Head of Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, added:
“My congratulations go to Cathy for this superb achievement. Her commitment to the highest levels of dental education is excellent and much appreciated by our students and her colleagues.”
