International scholarships

To recognise outstanding achievement, the University of Plymouth offers scholarship schemes to help fund your studies. You could receive up to 50% off your tuition fees in your first year.
 

Entry requirements

Undergraduate

We require applicants to have completed the 高等学校卒業証書 (Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate) also known as the Kotogakko Sotsugyo Shomeisho and a foundation year programme or equivalent.
Our partner college on campus, University of Plymouth International College (UPIC) , offers a wide variety of foundation courses.

Postgraduate

We require applicants to have completed either the 学士 bachelor degree known as Gakushi or the 高度専門士 Advanced Diploma from a recognised institution with the following criteria:
Japanese degree classification - percentage Japanese degree classification - grade Japanese degree classification - description UK degree equivalent
90% - 100% S or A Shū 秀 Outstanding 1st
75% - 89% A or B Yū 優 Excellent 2:1
65% - 74% B or C Ryō 良 Good 2:2
