"I'm from Greece and I live in Athens. I studied International and European studies at the University of Piraeus and I am an exchange student at the University of Plymouth.
I am studying BSc (Hons) International Relations with Politics. It is a very interesting course to do with current topics and mainly with the complex relations that different countries have among them and examines contemporary political, economic and social phenomena. When I graduate my plan is to do a masters somewhere in the United Kingdom in either business or economics.
The University of Plymouth was recommended to me by a friend who told me that the environment of the University is ideal for a person who not only wants to learn but also to experience interesting situations. So, I chose to study at the University of Plymouth because of the very positive reviews it has as an institution in general.
The University is a great place to get to know people from all over the world, participate in interesting events and through all that get to know yourself more. Academically, the lecturers are always there for the students and generally, it is a modern university that covers any of the students’ needs. I would recommend it because it is a really advanced institution that makes sure that all students are satisfied in their academic and social life.
When I first arrived in Plymouth I was worried that I would not make friends easily, that I would not be able to keep up with the other students and the lecturers. However, after a couple of weeks, I got to know people and I found out that even if you have any problems academically both the students and the lecturers are willing to help you out.
Plymouth is a great place to live. It has lots of places to see and lots of things to do. It is mostly a quiet city where people have always been kind and helpful to me. You are never too far away from anything and there is always something new for you to try.
I was entirely satisfied with my experience at the University of Plymouth. I made friends for life, got to know new cultures, saw new places, learning new things. I made memories that will surely stay with me forever."
