The Kitchen Laboratory provides a hands-on learning environment which allows students to gain practical experience in cooking and preparing food and focus on creating and implementing diets for various purposes, including those for healthy individuals, sports nutrition, and therapeutic diets.
The facility encourages students to understand nutritional principles in the context of meal preparation and learn how to tailor diets to meet specific health and wellness goals.
The lab is equipped with a wide range of specialised instruments that help students to develop the skills necessary for working in various culinary and nutritional settings:

  • food preparation tools
  • specialised dietetics tools (nutrient analysis software, dietary scales, portion control tools)
  • cleaning and sanitising supplies
