The Exercise Laboratory is dedicated to the analysis of the physiological responses and adaptations to exercise and diet and is specifically designed to support both teaching and research activities.
Students can gain hand-on experience, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge, conduct experiments, and gain practical skills in physiological assessment. The space is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including several metabolic carts and Douglas bags, a near-infrared spectroscopy device (NIRS), blood pressure monitors and rapid cuff inflator, biochemistry analysers and bioimpedance devices.
