"When selecting my university course I was still undecided as to a future career. I thought that I might like to teach and hence opted for the BSc (Hons) Mathematics with Education degree as it gave me the freedom to change my mind with regards to a career at a later date.
The course consisted of modules in mathematics, statistics and education and I really liked the way that you could choose from a range of modules to suit your needs and interests. I undertook a number of school placements during my three-year course, all of which helped me to decide that I did want a career in education.
After graduating and having a year out travelling, I decided to do a PGCE. I am now in my fourth year of teaching at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham and really love my chosen career.
I have very fond memories of Plymouth and the University. The staff were all very friendly and always on hand to help when needed. I would recommend Plymouth as a great city in which to spend your university years!"
