Our services

We aim to provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, students and visitors to the University campus. We work closely with community police to provide a 24-hour security cover for the University campus including University managed Halls of Residence. We provide advice and guidance to staff and students on how to keep themselves safe and how to protect their property.
The main operations room, located in the Portland Square building, provides the control hub for all Security Officers covering the 24 hour, 365 days a year operation. This encompasses a complex CCTV system combined with the University Building Management System for fire, plant, access control, and intruder monitoring. Direct radio communication is monitored in partnership with Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and the Plymouth City CCTV operations room.
In addition, we operate a mobile patrol, which includes visits to offsite buildings.
