The link for the September 2023 intake for the prepaid catered halls has now closed.
The prepaid catered halls offer is for 35 weeks of the year and includes breakfast and dinner served Monday – Friday. Guaranteed two meals a day (breakfast and dinner) for the equivalent of £9.00 per day or £45.00 per week! Totaling £1,575 for the year, this is to be paid in full, once your accommodation is booked and confirmed.
Closing date for the prepaid catered halls offer for September 2023 is midnight on Sunday 10 September 2023. Please note that we are no longer taking applications for September 2023.
The package is currently only available to students staying in University managed halls of residence. These are:
Term dates
The dates that the prepaid catered halls offer is available are:
Monday 18 September 2023 – Friday 15 December 2023
Tuesday 2 January 2024 – Friday 31 May 2024
Breakfast
Breakfast served between 07:30–09:00 (available in Drakes Kitchen, RLB, or John Bull Café).
Breakfast will consist of:
- up to five item cooked breakfast or
- breakfast bap / wrap or
- cold breakfast (cereal, fruit, pastries and yogurt),
- all served with tea and coffee, water or fruit juice.
Dinner
Served between 17:00–19:00 (served in Drakes Kitchen).
Dinner will be two courses (main meal and dessert). There will be two options – a meat based meal or a vegetarian meal which will also be gluten free. Served with tea and coffee, water or fruit juice. Please see sample menu below.

How does it work?
If you are lucky enough to stay in one of our University managed halls then you are eligible for the prepaid catering package!
Students must present their University of Plymouth student card at each meal. The catering staff will not serve you if you do not have your ID card.
