PGCAP/PDAP/SCAP702 NSM on Sustainability Education is a 20 credit masters level course designed to provide university lecturers with an introduction to sustainability education. However, anyone can work through its contents and it is intended as an open educational resource.
The indicative content of the course is as follows:
- SE NSM 1 – an introduction to the historical context of sustainability education and its diffusion through to contemporary policy and practice in Higher Education.
- SE NSM 2 – exploring different paradigms and positions on SE.
- SE NSM 3 – learning theories and pedagogy: exploring experiential, transformative, individual and social approaches to SE.
- SE NSM 4 – implementation: critically evaluate whole institution responses: the formal, informal and campus curricula.
