A first-of-its-kind facility for the UK, offering physical hydro- and aerodynamic experiments with simultaneous wind, waves and currents, to enable scale testing for floating offshore wind turbine, platform and mooring designs.

Energy and Sustainability Laboratory with Wind Tunnel
Our brand-new 180 kph sub-sonic wind tunnel enables practical experimentation and analysis of FLOW engineering systems, comparing scientific theory and numerical simulation with the realities of observed operational behaviour.
